Illinois Central SD40A #6008 was built August 1969 and later re# Illinois Central Gulf #6008. In September 1995 unit was rebuilt to SD40-2R standards and re# back to Illinois Central #6008. 6008 was scrapped at Woodcrest Shop in August 2010
