Union Pacific's Operation Lifesaver Special rounds Santaquin's Barry Curve. On the other end of the train is UP E9A No.951 acting as a pusher. This passenger special was operating between Springville and Mona, Utah educating people on the dangers of grade crossings. Built in 1912, Barry Curve was a part of a line change to correct the steep grade between Payson and York Hill. |
