Norfolk Southern track test unit #34 was originally built October 1965 as Norfolk & Western SD35 #1530. After being wrecked, it was rebuilt into a slug and re# NW 9921, then re# NW 9951, then re# NS 9951 prior to undergoing conversion to engineering department specifications |
