The AIRTRANS people mover was designed and built by the Vought Corp., and opened at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport in 1974. AIRTRANS used 68 cars, and operated at 17 MPH on a 15-miles route serving 33 station. It was replaced by SKYLINK, a 5-mile system usinging Bombardier's INNOVIA APM 200 technology, in 2005.
