Sixty-four-seat coach 6433 was built in 1946 as New York Central 3057 and was subsequently Penn Central 3625. It was one of 153 cars (3000-3152) built in Pullman-Stand`rd Lot 6721. Over time, all of the cars were renumbered at least once and many of them were remodeled, although the 6433 retained its original configuration. Seventy-seven of these cars went to Amtrak as the 3949-3970- 6094-6098 and 6400-6449. The 6433 was photographed in storage at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. |
