Lunch-counter/bar/lounge car 8350 was delivered in January 1947 as Northern Pacific 494, one of six coach/buffet/lounge cars (NP 494-498, CB&Q 499) built under Pullman-Standard Lot No. 6739 for the NORTH COAST LIMITED. In 1955 they were all remodeled into TRAVELERS REST lunch-counter/bar/lounge cars, with no change of numbers; and in 1971 they became Amtrak 8350-8355. The car was photographed on the northbound PANAMA LIMITED. |
