On the repair track at the CSX Cumberland Shops. A veteran of the L&N (5013) built in November 1971. It was an SW1500 switcher when it started out but is now a RCPHE4. It is a remote control engine that can be attached to other engines on a train to make them remote control as well. This used to be CSX 1118 and the 9 on it was just improvised. At this location, who knows what it is in store for it next. Maybe a paint job or refurbishing and hopefully not a retirement. |
