This massive "Yellowstone" type locomotive built by Baldwin in 1930 as a Z-5 class was a massive machine that looked like an angry beast ready to run the rugged mountainous regions. It hat 63" drivers and developed a whopping 250 psi boiler pressure and was built to replace the multiple Mikadls that worked the long freight trains. |
