One of the Davidson Yard hump switchers takes a break at the ready tracks after being serviced in the diesel shop. This EMD was delivered to Missouri Pacific as SD40-2 3267 in May 1979 and after the Union Pacific merger became 4267 then was demoted to B unit status becoming B4267. Union Pacific retired most of the former Mopac SD40-2s without dynamic brakes but a few of them were de-turbocharged for yard service and reclassified SD38-2s like UPY 851. Note the new wheels on the lead truck. |
