Built by Alco in 1927, this scrappy Hudson had tall 79" drivers for high speed passenger service. It could generate a respectable 225 psi of boiler pressure for its 25"x28" cylinders. The engine weight hit 346,500 lb and it could produce a tractive effort of 42,366 lb. Later it was renumbered by NYC to #5351. No photographer listed. |
