The Pioneer is ready for passenger service with a single coach. Depending on traffic needs, the Pioneer would often pull additional coaches and a baggage car. This photo is pulled from an article which appeared in the 2/14/53 "Capitol Times" newspaper from Madison, Wisconsin. My guess would be tha the photo is from the late 1850s or early 60s. This image is the best I could do with an old, yellowed newspaper clipping. |
