17th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 05 April 1964. Shown here are the Locomotive Ready Tracks below the 17th Street Bridge; many makes and models are represented. Of the 35 or so locomotives visible, the following are identifiable by number. Starting from the bottom right are PRR engines #8673, #8665. and #8672. On the next track over are PRR engines #8663 and #8676. Visible in the distance is a portion of the 8th Street Bridge. |
