WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Harrisburg to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #2516 and three other units whose numbers are not recorded. #2516 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound TrucTrain near Mifflin, Pennsylvania. Note the fisherman standing between the tracks! |
