Six months after the Illinois Central and the Gulf Mobile & Ohio merged into the ICG, a set of power with units from both predecessor roads was being serviced at the former GM&O yard in Meridian. GM&O GP35 605, IC GP10's 8188 and 8322, and GM&O 631 had come in from Union with train 333, which was the Meridian connection with St. Louis-New Orleans train 33. (approximate day) |
