Three former Norfolk Southern units cross Kershaw-Camden Hwy. on former NS rails in June, 2017. The middle unit was built as Conrail GP38-2 #8235 and was acquired by NS in the Conrail split with CSX. It's bracketed by two ex-Southern GP38ACs, both of whom are wearing their SOU numbers. While the #2829 has been chop nosed in recent years, #2866 retains her high short hood. |
