Another GP40 that would soon leave Vermont for GMTX lease service, VTR 301 was constructed in the spring of 1967 by EMD for the Atlanta & West Point Railroad as their number 701. It would also serve on the Seaboard System and later CSX before coming north to join the Vermont Railway fleet. |
