In the late winter of 1986-87, Soo Line conducted some management training operations from Withrow to Somerset, WI in anticipation of a strike and used this empty ballast train and a couple GP38-2s and ran several trips over the high bridge. The line had been out of service for the good part of a year, so this was the first train to cross and the line then went dormant again until WC took over later in 1987. |
