| Kansas City Southern engineer and railfan Robert "Tillie" Blank and his wife were being honored on his retirement. The event was in the lunch room at WEST YARD, just outside of New Orleans. Bob went into engine service on the New Orleans Public Belt around 1940, and after a couple of moves spent most of his railroad career as an engineer on the Louisiana & Arkansas/Kansas City Southern. He was a regular engineer on the SOUTHERN BELLE during that train's later years. |
