| Louisville & Nashville E8A 785 was at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, in between runs on the PAN-AMERICAN. The locomotive had been built in February 1950 as St. Louis-San Francisco 2009 JET PILOT and was purchased by the L&N in 1965. The L&N installed flat number boards, removed one port hole and painted over the others. The 785 was retired in March 1972 and used as trade-in credit with EMD. |
