Southern Pacific (Texas & New Orleans) P-9 class 4-6-2 628 was backing across Magnolia Street and into Union Station in New Orleans for the 8:25 A.M. departure of train No. 7, the westbound ALAMO. No. 7 was the all-day local to Houston and was discontinued in December 1952, while the 628 was scrapped at Houston in December 1953. |
