MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Nelson Bowers that was taken just East of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, in January of 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6815, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. It's pulling a long string of empty hopper cars from Enola to Altoona and the coal mines of Western Pennsylvania. A portion of US Route 22 ~ the "William Penn Highway" ~ is visible at the left.
