| Gulf, Mobile & Ohio GP38AC 729 was parked at Meridian, Mississippi. This photo was taken about six months after the GM&O merged with the Illinois Central, but this still looked like a GM&O yard! The 729 was eventually repainted as ICG 9548, was sold as Iowa Interstate 627 in September 1994 and became Grainbelt 627 in November 2007. (approximate date of photo) |
