| Acadiana Railway GP7 4178 hbd been built in October 1952 as Rock Island 1270. It was remanufactured and renumbered Rock Island 4524 on 14 June 1976, sold to the Chicago & North Western in February 1981, renumbered C&NW 4178 on 18 Aug 1981, sold to Larry's Truck Electric Service on 7 April 1998 and went to the Acadiana as the 4178 in March 2000. Here it was, being patched up after its nnse had been chopped, so it could be repainted. |
