Here is the second of four successive photos by G.C. Corey via Rail Photo Service. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6402 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. Both are "J" Class (2-10-4) "Texans" built in Juniata. #6402 was built in June of 1943 and retired in April of 1958 after just 15 years of service. Note the crew of #6402 chewin' the fat while the other train passes. The date and the location are not recorded. John S. Fisher Collection; #7 of 13. |
