Here is a postal card entitled "Pennsylvania Railroad Mountain Type Locomotive." Postmarked: 1 May 1933. Depicted here is engine #6800, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in August of 1926 and retired in August of 1955 after 29 years' service. It's the first "Mountain" that Baldwin built for the PRR. |
